Come join Gotham Wellness in Costa Rica for a week of surfing, yoga, adventure, and relaxation in paradise! We will be staying in Nosara, which boasts 7 kilometers of pure, undeveloped, coastline with warm ocean water, breathtaking sunsets, and consistent surf breaks.

Your week includes:
• 7 nights of beach-front accommodations with pool, small restaurant, bar, tropical gardens, hammocks,
  and palapa
• 7 full breakfasts, selection changes daily, including tropical fruit, juice, coffee, and Costa Rican cuisine
• 5 90-minute surf lessons taught by BSA qualified surf coaches and International Beach Lifeguards
• 5 sunset beach yoga classes for all levels of experience

• Surf board rental for duration of surf lesson

Yoga + Surfing:
Our surf instructors have coached the British National Surf team, as well as 5 year old children, so you are sure to feel comfortable!. There are never more than 3 to 5 students per instructor, and groups are arranged according to experience. Nosara is the perfect place to learn how to surf! The ocean floor is covered in soft sand, free of rocks or coral. You can stand waist-high in the water and still catch amazing waves! More experienced surfers can paddle out to catch waves as they’re breaking, and learn advanced moves.

Yoga classes will be held right on the beach, to the tune of breaking waves, with only the purest ocean air to breathe. Stefanie will lead you in series of poses created for all levels of yoga experience that will target surf muscles and promote relaxation, balance, and stability.

Typical Schedule:
• 7:30-9:30 Leisurely breakfast by the pool
• 10-12 Surf Lessons
• 12-4 Free Time (lunch, activities, naps, swimming)
• 4-5 Sunset Beach Yoga Class
• 5-7 Free Time (happy hour, shower, pool)
• 7-9 Dinner Reservations
• 9pm on: Sleeping or Dancing

All activities are optional. Do as much or as little as you like!

Transportation Notes:
From San Jose (SJO) San Juan Santamaria International Airport
Round-trip airport transfer from San Jose to Nosara is included in your retreat. In order to meet the shuttle, we recommend flying into SJO as early as possible on May 1st and flying home after 2 pm on May 8th. If it's not possible to find a late afternoon flight home, we recommend spending the evening of May 8th in San Jose, and flying home anytime on Sunday, May 9th. Alternately, you can fly from San Jose to Nosara on Nature Air or Sansa Airlines (45 minutes), but make sure your flight connection times allow this. If you prefer, you can also rent a car from Toyotarent.com in San Jose and drive to Nosara. It is a 5 hour drive from San Jose to Nosara.

From Liberia (LIR) Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport
Transportation from Liberia, Costa Rica is not included in your retreat. Liberia (LIR) is closer to Nosara than San Jose, but twice the plane fare. To get to Nosara from Liberia, you can either take a taxi or rent a car. It is a 2.5 hour drive from Liberia to Nosara.
